David S. Ferriero, Archivist of the United States, discusses NARA's wide-ranging role in open government

 

Steven P. Croley, Special Assistant to the President for Justice and Regulatory Policy, White House Domestic Policy Council, discusses what the Administration sees as it's main accomplishments to date in opening the federals government and what else they intend to do to increase transparency.

 

Gary Bass, Executive Director, OMB Watch, wrapped up the first panel presentations by discussing the importance of open government, reviewing recent reports on the Administration's efforts to increase transparency, and decribing what else the government should be doing.

 

Panelists answered questions from the moderator and the remote audience on the topics of improving electronic record management and creating standards for open government.

Panelists answer questions on the implications of cloud computing and how agencies are expected to do more with less funding from the audience at the Center for American Progress.
