OTG Launches New Torture Report Timeline

From the launch of the investigation into the Central Intelligence Agency’s detention and interrogation program in 2009 to present day, click through time in OTG’s new behind-the-scenes summary of the key milestones in the fight to prevent the public from reading the torture report.

The Torture Report Timeline is designed to be a tangible resource for the public to track the report’s journey through time – and why it remains shrouded in secrecy to this day. OTG has long advocated for the release of torture report as a fundamental means of holding our government accountable for the unlawful activities committed under the CIA’s detention and interrogation program.

We support bringing the story of the investigation to the big screen in The Report movie because the truth matters.

“The report should not be hidden away; rather, it should be read by government officials and released to the public so that we do not repeat the mistakes of the past.”

Lisa Rosenberg, executive director, Open the Government
