OTG at 10: Discussing the Coalition’s Founding and Future at the Newseum

The Freedom of Information Day celebration kicked off with a discussion about OpenTheGovernment.org's founding, achievements, and future. Watch the video of the panel below. 

The panel was moderated by Gene Policinski of the Newseum Insitute and featured:

  • Gary Bass, Executive Director of the Bauman Foundation and co-founder of OTG. 
  • Danielle Brian, Executive Director of the Project On Government Oversight and chair of OpenTheGovernment.org's steering committee.
  • Tom Blanton, Director of the National Security Archive and co-founder of OTG.
  • Rick Blum, Coordinator of the Sunshine in Government Initiative and coalition's first executive director. 
  • Patrice McDermott, OpenTheGovernment.org's current executive director.
